2023 Annual General Meeting

Hello Everyone,

The Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA) will hold its Annual General Meeting on March 23 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Hastings Community Centre.

With this posting, I put forward a Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors. 

1. We are looking for qualified nominees for the Board to help us work towards our goals.  There are 6 seats available for a 2-year term. 

2. The nominees will be appointed at the AGM if we have less than 7 nominees or elected by a vote of the VOKRA members if we have more than 6 nominees.

Click here for a description of the attributes we are looking for in a director and the responsibilities expected.  We are looking for nominees with experience in Human Resources, Equity and Inclusion, Finance, Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, Governance and Business Development and Strategic Planning.

If you are interested or know of someone who you think would be a good candidate please complete the Nomination Form and Nominee Biography and return to me. (bblamey@vokra.ca).  We plan to provide a bio for every nominee so members have a better understanding of their qualifications before voting. 

To accommodate this, nominations must be received by 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023.  Nominations after this date or at the AGM can not be accepted.

I am also encouraging you to become a member of VOKRA, attend the AGM and vote for the nominees.

This is your chance to have a say in the nominees you would like to be on the Board.  You need to be a member in good standing in order to vote.
