Each year, more than 1,400 cats and kittens are rescued thanks to the support of people like you. VOKRA is a volunteer-driven charity and your help is vital to ending cat overpopulation and homelessness. All donations go directly to funding the supplies, equipment, and veterinary and operational costs required to ensure the cats in our care are warm, safe and healthy.

SPONSOR A CAT

By sponsoring one of our long-term residents you are helping us deliver the best care possible.

At VOKRA we believe all cats deserve to have a safe and happy life, regardless of their challenges.

Some cats in our care have health or behavioural issues making them unsuitable for adoption. As a no-kill organization, an unadoptable or sick cat will stay in our care, either in a foster home or at our Operations Centre, for as long as they live. (We will never euthanize a cat unless it is suffering.)

While our long-term care cats require close monitoring and daily training, we are confident they have a loving future ahead of them, if not with a foster or forever family, with the devotion of all our volunteers. At VOKRA, kitties will always have a home until their last days.

Of course, ensuring these cats get everything they need takes money and resources. We rely on people like you to help us deliver the best possible care for our long-term residents.

There are tax advantages to donating shares or securities to a charitable organization. If the shares have increased in value since you bought them you will not have to pay tax on the increase in value when you file your income tax return. If you were to sell the shares you would have to pay tax on the increase in the value of the shares.

RETURN-IT EXPRESS

Put your refundable containers in clear plastic bags, no sorting is needed!

Go to an Express depot, use the VOKRA phone number (604 731-2913) to log in at the kiosk, then print one sticker per bag.
Put the stickers on your bags and leave them in the bag drop area.
VOKRA will receive the refund!
