Happy Tails: Truman & Cooper and Tanya & Rod

Once a VOKRA kitty, always a VOKRA kitty.

This means sometimes kitties may need to be surrendered back to us due to a change in circumstance. This is the Happy Tail of two such kitties, Truman and Cooper, 6-year-old brothers who came back into our care before being adopted by Tanya and Rod.

When Tanya & Rod met Truman & Cooper

We always wanted to adopt again, but we were taking some time after we lost our second out of two cats in 2017 when she was 18 years old.

We originally started to foster Truman and Cooper as we knew one of VOKRA’s volunteers, but after a week we knew we couldn't let them go. So we officially adopted Truman & Cooper in early February of 2019.

They both have such nice temperaments. Cooper has a birth defect and can't use his back legs. He was born with partially formed tibias and severely bowed fibias. He has fused toe bones in one of his hind feet and also in his tail. But he’s still so good at getting around. He has a lot of spirit and Truman really seems to take care of his brother.

They’re both wonderful cats who like to be around us. If we’re both upstairs and they feel like they aren't ready to go to bed or are still hungry, they’ll sit on the stairs and call us back down. It's really cute.

What Truman & Cooper love the most

Cooper loves to be brushed and loves to lick people's hair.

Truman sleeps on my pillow, partly on my head at night.

They both just love the squeeze treats you get from Tikki Cat and other brands.
